Microcosm to Macrocosm: Moral Choice in Our Cosmos
Synopsis:
"Starting where we are in any particular locale on Urantia, we depend on many outside influences to get our moral "bearings" in life. Moral choice is significant in directing our moral formation and orientation and markedly influenced by others in our original environment. Were this all we could depend on, our plight would be almost hopeless in today's rapidly changing world. Somehow, we try to transcend our initial milieu's influence on who we become and what we do and "rise to the occasion" or temporarily fall short of mastering some life situations.
What appears to be our program of moral development and how can The Urantia Book's teachings about who we are and our place in the cosmos better direct our moral choosing in a world whose increasing complexity necessitates at one and the same time transcending short-term, "cookie-cutter" solutions while still paying attention to the indigenous prescribed morality into which we're all born?"
